How do you take a small former ice cream shop and turn it into a destination for gourmet pizza? With a great design concept, original interior and attention to the smallest details.
The owners of Capitol Hill’s popular French bistro, Montmartre, wanted to make pizza. We were tasked with creating all aspects of the brand from the ground up. We chose the name because of its location on 7th Street on Capitol Hill, and also as a nod to the legend that all great cities are built on seven hills. We named the pizzas after local D.C. streets and notable destinations. We met the challenge of the logo design by creating a mark with a sense of destination that set the stage for a contemporary new restaurant in an historic part of D.C.
Our scope of work included logo design, interior design, packaging, tshirts, custom art, and website design. We were proud to receive an award from GDUSA for our branding work on this project.
