This beautiful Capitol Hill rowhouse had great ‘bones’ but was finished in a haphazard way that failed to bring out its original beauty. Our client brought us in to refinish the house and create a cohesive design aesthetic that fit her tastes and could serve to house visiting family.
Starting with the unfinished basement, we designed an in-law suite that included a family area with tables and chairs, a couch with storage, a full bath, a separate bedroom with a built in desk, and a full kitchen with washer and dryer.
On the main level, the client originally had furniture too big to fit the narrow profile of her house. By rearranging the layout, selecting size and style appropriate new furniture and accessories, we created a living room that highlighted some of her existing collections, while adding some flair to the entryway.
