Hill East Residence

Our client wanted to completely change the look and feel of their existing space and create something better suited to their tastes and sensibilities. We started by replacing the existing dark wood flooring with a whitewashed wood look. We opened up the wall between the kitchen and dining room to create a breakfast bar. This visually created the sense of a larger space while effectively separating the cooking and dining surfaces. The ghost chairs provide more support and comfort than backless stools but don’t add additional visual bulk. Our custom designed fireplace and bookshelves double as easily accessible storage and a prominent location for display items. The color palette of whites and blues are accented by unique pieces, such as the designer light fixtures, to create a minimal and peaceful feeling year round.
